Adele trained under Euan Uglow and that comes through in her rigorous approach. I learnt loads and you can see a photo of the back of my head on her blog http://www.adelewagstaff.co.uk/ no grey showing, great photo.
I was unsure about the charges for a the course but was blown away by the standard of everything ,food, grounds, more food, a ridiculously appointed arts library, building, teaching, welcome and did I mention the food?
I’ll post a pic of the complete work, once I’ve worked out the likeness corrections (using brushes on iPad, is this cheating?).

Just been to Holburne, the difference between the works in life and on line is just staggering
Works you pass over on-line turn out to be little gems and the variety of the brushwork or lack of brush evidence was a surprise. Left me felling humbled to be in the same exhibition though and very much a “newly promoted struggler”. Also more embarrassed by my strong online voting but don’t let that put you off!
See all the fab Holburne entries here http://t.co/iqT2Dse5 and vote for your fave. 53 Ahem.
Even more pleased with Holburne acceptance after seeing the standard of the works including professional portraits previously exhibited in the Mall and BP. Can’t wait to see them all in the flesh. Opens this Saturday but can’t make this weekend as am off painting heads at West Dean all weekend. Can’t wait for that either. link here
Got “The Patriarch” (banner pic) into the Holburne Portrait Prize exhibition. Staggered.
Thanks to everybody that said anything encouraging. Holburne portrait prize
